‘Maybe Next Time’ by Susan Krieg is a 30″ x 40″ mixed media acrylic painting.

I am exploring the imagery of sacred geometry and religious imagery. I am also delving into the multi-dimensional nature of our existence. Additionally, I am investigating the existence of a Merkabah or ‘light body.’

My intention is to incorporate sacred geometry and spiritual symbolism into my paintings using both the figurative and abstraction . I hope to invoke the meaning of sacred geometry more intuitively to the viewer, who may not know the historic meaning of these symbols. Feel free to read your own story into the painting!

In this image, titled ‘Maybe Next Time’, the one circle becomes the two – forming the vesica Pices. The circles continue to multiply and represent the creation of all matter. The circles also encompass the Tetramorph of the Sumerians (and other Christian references) to represent the completed cycle. The figure holds the Egyptian staff of immortality. She is ready to step through the ascension portal into another realm. All of this is happening against a background of chaos.

‘Maybe Next Time’ measures 30″ x 40″ on stretched canvas. I used a variety of water-based paints, various acrylic textures, composition leaf and embedded papers and plastic.

I almost forgot to mention one of the most important elements. The star tetrahedron represents the “light body”. Everyone, has one.
