This is my first painting in a new direction.

For the past year or so I’ve been exploring the imagery of sacred geometry, religious imagery and the multi-dimensional nature of our existence, including the existence of a Merkabah or “light body”.
The intention of my new direction is to incorporate sacred geometry and spiritual symbolism into a figurative abstract realm. My goal is to invoke the meaning of sacred geometry more intuitively to the viewer, who many not necessarily know the meaning of these symbols. Hopefully the viewer might read a story into the painting!
Without going into lengthy explanations, in this image, titled ‘Next Time’, the one circle becomes the two – forming the vesica Pices. The circles continue to multiply and represent the creation of all matter. The circles also encompass the Tetramorph of the Sumerians (and other Christian references) to represent the completed cycle. The figure holds the Egyptian staff of immortality as she is about to step through the ascension portal into another realm. All of this is happening against a background of chaos.
‘Next Time’ measures 30″ x 40″ on stretched canvas. I used a variety of water-based paints, various acrylic textures, composition leaf and embedded papers and plastic.
I almost forgot to mention one of the most important elements. The star tetrahedron represents the “light body”. Everyone, supposedly, has one.
Love hearing your thought process, it makes it so much more meaningful. This is stunningly beautiful! Do I see your mother?

Thank you. I had a teacher once who said, “An artist only paints themself!” If that’s the case, then you might see me or my mother. In either case, it wasn’t intentional.
