Geometric Interpretation of a Dandelion Puff

Dandelion seed puffs are a complicated construction. I have found them challenging to draw or paint. So I sat down and tried creating a geometric version of what I think they are. This is my rough pencil sketch. I am excited with its possibility and I’m going to try it again, with ink. I know this is a brief post. My drawing probably isn’t even close to what the true geometric foundation of a dandelion is. So whatever it is, it’s worth exploring and I guess this is where art and science parts ways.
