The only way to truly appreciate the artwork and the size of the project is to come to the ribbon cutting on December 13, 2011. The library doors will be open that day from 2:30pm to 7:00pm with ceremony at 6pm and an art show of some of my work. Orange County High School is located at 201 Selma Road, Orange Virginia. I will be there. I will also be showing images from this mural project during my Meet and Greet at the Artists Gallery in Virginia Beach on December 17, 2011 (see the end of today’s blog for more information).
This was the final week of working on the mural project. Some of the finishing touches include the beckoning hand outside the library door holding the library’s motto.
The telephone wall was completed by my signing it with my portrait. Cute huh!
Everybody’s favorite seems to be the Ipad montage. This is an 8 foot by 9 foot painting, made complete with the addition of the Modigliani head on the angel who is talking on a cell phone, next to the mime.
You can read more about this mural on previous blogs. It was sad leaving last Friday, with the project complete. I’ve grown accustomed to many faces at Orange High. Yet, this may have inspired a series of new art. I will keep you posted. Yours truly, Susan Krieg
This mural is beyond words! It is so fascinating to see all the different icons relating to communication over the years. Wish I could be there for the big day.

Great job. Having your portrait in the cell phone window is a nice touch. Hopefully this will lead to more jobs coming your way. Again, really nice work.
