Pandemic Picasso by Susan Krieg

If I could have an alternative self, an altered ego, after a year of ‘Covid’, I choose to be Pablo Picasso.

To me he was a person who lived with passion, playfully exploring artistic styles, yet seriously studying technical aspects of art.

I used several of his images and several photos of myself to portray me as artist and model combining self-exploration, my interest in sacred geometry and  current events to create this snapshot in some alternative time – in some alternative world.

Oil on canvas 24″ x 24″ created June 2021.

Painting was sold during July show at Chris Alvarez Gallery – Colorado springs.
